According to L’equipe, the French Tennis Federation is set to postpone Roland Garros by a week and the announcement could come as soon as tomorrow.

With France reeling from a spike in coronavirus cases and related hospitalizations, and the country in the first week of a four-week lockdown which started on April third, rumor has it that the Federation is hoping that by starting on May 30, Roland-Garros will benefit from relaxed health protocols that could be coming in June.
“There is no guarantee that all of this will be possible again by the grace of this one-week delay, but it’s probably a “risk” to take,” wrote Julien Reboullet. “If there really is any easing, tens of millions of additional euros would go into the coffers.”
A potential postponement would work well for the FFT, but it could do significant damage to the four tournaments scheduled for the week of June 7-13.
ATP Stuttgart, ATP/WTA ‘s-Hertogenbosch and WTA Nottingham would be the tournaments affected.
