Bring on the red clay! The Roland Garros wild cards have been announced, with former finalist Andy Murray, former semifinalist Eugenie Bouchard and former quarterfinalist Tsvetana Pironkova each receiving main draw wild cards from the tournament, which will see main draw action begin on September 27 (qualifying wild cards have also been announced – qualifying starts on September 21).
Notably not on the list is Kim Clijsters. The Belgian took to Twitter on Monday to say that she’s going to take some time with family before she resumes her comeback.
I have decided to spend the next few weeks with my family. NYC showed how much progress I’ve made & also what I need to work on. Not sure where I’ll play next but will let you know soon. For now, back to training & school lunches ! 🎾 🍎 📚
